Coalition members met with MEP Dragos Pislaru, who was negotiating on behalf of the European Parliament for increased transparency in Recovery Fund spending. Among other things, there will be an obligation for Member States to publish regular lists of the top 100 recipients of these funds.

Among other things, we discussed how our monitoring of the transparency of RRF spending can be a helpful tool to check whether governments are implementing the new rules. We also agreed that the changes to the Regulation are only the first step and the EU should be more ambitious.
